Error updating dynamic dns entry nohost
This website will show you your current public IP address.
If the IP address does not match the one listed by your hostname, you will need to manually update it to get your service working again.
I've noticed than nslookup sometimes does fail when I enter the domain controllers name, typically I try... I've tried configuring the DHCP server diffrently, eventually only supply a single DNS server to the client, which is the DC itself.
If I disable Net BIOS over TCP/IP I get security problems related to the domain controller not being found by it's WINS name, or something like that.
One limit: if you have multiple A records for the hostname you are updating, DNS-O-Matic will update the first record found, not others.
(For dynamic DNS, multiple A records for a single hostname is unlikely.) One possible workaround would be to change additional records to CNAME records pointing to the original A record.
To manually update the hostname, login to your No-IP account and click Hosts/Redirects at the top left of the page.Next to the hostname, you will see the IP address that we are currently resolving to.You can verify that this is the correct IP address by visiting Port Check Tool.Users will also enter a list of hostnames (FQDNs) to be updated.Note on service passwords: Many dynamic GET /nic/update?
