Mail validating Skype id for dating

I created an implementation of this enhancement point to call a validation subroutine which i put in user exit MV45AFZZ.

My problem is whenever a wrong entry is entered for that field, the whole screen in the 'Additional Data A' tab turned grey and disabled for user entry.

But keep in mind that one should not rely only upon Java Script validation. This should be validated on the server side as well.

Here's an example of the above in action: Almost all answers to this questions suggest using Regex to validate emails addresses.

Kindly please let me know if you have any idea of resolving this issue. The Additional tab screen handling userexits are MV45AIZZ (AFTER INPUT) AND MV45AOZZ (AFTER OUTPUT). To validate the vbap-mvgr3 field you can use MV45AFZB USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP USING US_DIALOG.

A socket connection error occured while connecting to the mail exchanger which serves the email address domain.

According to comments on the PHP docs about filters, this condition is only true beginning with PHP 5.3.

There is also an issue in the Drupal queue wherein catch mentions upgrading to PHP 5.2.9 , so this may exist as far back as 5.2.9.

The easiest and safest way to check whether an email address is well-formed is to use PHP's filter_var() function.

Though this solution may be simple, I'm sure this is one of those useful things that people will be Googling for and deserves its own entry on the site If only Google would be the first place to look :) Just look at the duplicates of this closed every some time.

Re-entry for the correct Material Group 3 is not allowed. I made a core change to screen 4459 by adding a statement like below in the PAI section :- FIELD vbap-mvgr3 MODULE zsd_check_mvgr3 ON REQUEST. User was prompted for an error message and then was allowed to re-enter a correct entry for that field if a wrong entry was entered initially.
